Ensoniq Releases Updated MR Unisyn Profile

December 29, 1997

ENSONIQ announces a significant Unisyn Profile update for the MR series of keyboards - available to all current ENSONIQ users who own the complete Unisyn application from Mark of the Unicorn. This profile adds complete editing capability to the MR-Rack, MR-61 and MR-76.

"Customers have been thrilled with using the MR Unisyn profile for customizing the killer sounds of the MR series thus far," said David Netting, Marketing Manager. "Adding a complete Insert Effects editor and System Preferences editor, along with more detailed copying and pasting of parameters between layers will take them to the next level."

Features of the MR Profile upgrade include:

  • A complete Insert Effects editor - every parameter available from the MR front panel is now available in the Unisyn editor. A complete library of MR Factory FX is also included to ease selection of the algorithms to be associated with the sounds.
  • The DrumKit module is now combined with the Sound module.
  • Enhanced FreeMIDI compatibility.
  • A complete System Preferences module is now available.
  • Sound and Performance modules now reference Sounds by patch names instead of bank and program number.
  • Expansion Boards are now supported by having the profile use the names of waveforms and patches.
