Prosoniq Releases Magenta for VST Mac

Prosoniq has announced the immediate availability of their latest audio software product: Magenta for VST.

Magenta is a new plug in for the VST Mac platform that allows realtime MIDI controllable pitch shifting and spectral effects based on an advanced pitch resythesis technology developed at Prosoniq. In other words: Magenta is a synthesizer that uses any VST track or live input signal as basic waveform that can be tweaked using the power of realtime resynthesis.

Prosoniq's highly optimized Multikernel Spectrum Resythesis Engine (MSRE) reproduces any sound by resynthesizing it from a set of basic waveforms, giving you control over all aspects of the recorded instrument or music track.

Magenta lets you play and control multi-voiced musically monophonic and polyphonic instruments directly from any MIDI keyboard in real time. It adds a powerful, fully automatable control over timbre, pitch and harmonic development of the input signal.

Use Magenta to create vocal doubling, to fatten your vocal tracks or to create melodic choruses from single vocal lines. Use Magenta to tweak any sound and to create alien atmospheres, clusters or sound textures. If you think this is yet another pitch shifter - think again. This plug in is more than just that. Using the latest in processor technology it runs very fast on any standard Mac using the latest processor architecture improvements such as AltiVec.
