Mel Bay Introduces Young Beginner's Guide to Bluegrass Banjo Book AND CD

Alan Munde is one of bluegrass music's most renowned banjo performers and educators. In addition to his awarding winning achievements as a professional recording and touring bluegrass musician, Mr. Munde spent twenty-one years as a member of the bluegrass faculty in the Commercial Music Program at South Plains College, Levelland, Texas. He draws on all his performing and teaching experience to present the most direct and understandable approach to the learning of the bluegrass banjo style.

The Young Beginner's Guide to Bluegrass Banjo is a step-by-step method that brings the beginning banjo player from a simple strum approach through easily doable picking techniques. up to playing Alan also teaches his signature style of chord-melody banjo featuring beautiful melodies like "Wildwood Flower," "Grandfather's Clock," and "Worried Man Blues" using intricate bluegrass banjo three-finger roll styles. All music is presented in tablature. All songs and examples are featured on the accompanying audio CD.
