Metropolitan Drum Company Presents New Cocktail Drum Kits

October 11, 2007

Metropolitan Drum Company presented new Cocktail drum kits at the International Drum Expo in New Hampshire. Three new models aimed at drummers who are looking for ultimate in portable, professional grade cocktail kits with sound that rivals a traditional sit down kit were amazed by the drums.

Designed around a 14 inch diameter by 24 inch deep main drum, The Clubster features a full length snare under the top head, isolation baffling to minimize cross triggering and a ported and tuned kick drum on the bottom of the drum. Moving up the line, The Hipster adds a 10 x 5 side snare and a 8 x 6 tom to provide a full four piece kit, and at the top end, The Trickster adds a 8 inch diameter by 12 inch deep mounted floor tom to give you a full double floor tom kit in the space of a traditional cocktail drum.

"These drums are truly the most modern versions of the classic cocktails of yesterday, with modern updates to make them playable in any musical situation, from Jazz to Rock," says Matthew Belyea, Owner of Metropolitan Drum Company.
