As the century draws to a close, the Custom, Art and Historic Division at Gibson Guitar is presenting an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind collection of guitars that captures and reflects the most historically rich and innovative period of man's existence.

During the last remaining months of 1999, Gibson is creating a guitar collectors' set, comprised of the last 1959 Les Paul Reissue completed in 1999 and the first to be completed in the year 2000. To own these two particular instruments is an opportunity that will, quite literally, present itself only once in a lifetime.

To accompany these two treasures, Gibson has assigned its finest artisans to create the single most exquisite instrument ever crafted in its century-long history – the Twentieth Century Tribute Guitar. The Twentieth Century Tribute Guitar will depict the events that have shaped humankind over the last hundred years. The faces and images that portray our triumphs and failures, and display our ability to both create and destroy will be captured and hand- painted upon the canvas that is one of mankind's most coveted and expressive inventions – the guitar.

During the design and crafting of this tribute to modern history, Gibson will offer guitar enthusiasts and collectors around the world an opportunity to witness this instrument's transformation from wood, passion and vision into an object of beauty that will forever encapsulate the Twentieth Century. View frequently updated photos and storylines that will capture the creation of this remarkable instrument at www.2000guitar.com.

One, and only one of these once-in-a-lifetime collections will ever be offered. The purchaser will be invited to tour the Gibson Custom, Art & Historic Division and inspect each of the instruments as they near completion. The investment price for the three-guitar set, airfare, accommodations is $150,000. To inquire regarding the purchase of this incredible set of instruments, call Gibson at 1-877-348-4827.
