Minnetonka Audio Software Presents SurCode in Support of Compressor 3 Encoding Platform

Advertisement Minnetonka Audio Software, Inc. (MASI) announces plans to support the Compressor 3 production application with SurCode for Dolby Pro Logic II and SurCode for DVD-DTS plug-ins. Sneak-peek demonstrations were on display at the 125th Audio Engineering Society Convention in San Francisco, October 3-5. Compressor 3, already rich with industry-standard codec's such as MPEG-2 and H.264, is a powerful batch processing application designed to deliver multiple distribution formats from a single project. Final Cut Studio and Logic Studio users will have the option to expand from Dolby Digital only, to Pro Logic II and DVD-DTS with the addition of SurCode plug-ins to the Compressor 3 suite. "This is major mile-stone for our company and furthers our agenda to make SurCode the default encoder family for the entire industry," says John Schur, President of MASI. SurCode for Dolby Pro Logic II retails for $795 and SurCode for DVD-DTS retails for $249 and will be available Q1 of 2009 through MASI's international network of pro audio resellers.
