News has just come in that the OctoPre has undergone some significant design changes.
Firstly, the OctoPre optional A/D card now features the new 96K ADAT. The dual ADAT port design provides either 8 ADAT outputs at 96kHz, or 16 ADAT outputs at 48kHz.
In addition, the A/D option now comes under two different guises, with either an ADAT 96kHz and external word-clock only option, or the full spec card which will feature 96kHz ADAT, SPDIF, AES, EBU, and external word-clock, all operating at up to 24bit.
Frequency and dithering will also now be directly switchable from the front panel.
Expect to see the first units on the shop shelves in June.
