EMU/ENSONIQ has released the PARIS Pro 3.0 software, adding a number of new features, making it even easier to
record, mix and edit music and audio. PARIS Pro supports up to 128 tracks with automated mixing, DSP
based inserts and effects and support for VST and DirectX plug-ins.
PARIS Pro 3.0 features include:
- New 3.0 User Interface
PARIS Pro 3.0 offers
a new mixer design and comprehensive drag-and-drop capabilities. The
ability to save individual EQ settings or an entire channel strips and
import them into other submixes makes mixing in PARIS Pro even faster and
more intuitive than before. Version 3.0 software offers unprecedented
grouping flexibility for fader, pan, EQ and aux sends. Animated graphic
overviews of both levels and panning positions are also shown for entire
submixes. And users can now view at a glance composite graphical EQ curves
for each channel in PARIS, with the ability to click and drag individual EQ
points! These are just a few of PARIS Pro 3.0's significant interface
advancements.
-
OMF Import/Export
OMF (Avid's Open Media Framework) file interchange allows for cross
compatibility between PARIS Pro 3.0 projects and Digidesign's Pro Tools
sessions, Avid Media Composer projects, and other professional systems found
in studios and post houses around the world. PARIS Pro 3.0 supports OMF
files in both 16 bit and 24 bit formats.
-
MIDI Integration
PARIS Pro 3.0 also provides the user with a MIDI engine which
allows up to 999 MIDI tracks, Standard MIDI File import/export, event
editing and MIDI plug-ins such as compression, quantization, multi-record
filtering and more. All the editing tools that current PARIS Pro users know
for performing audio edits will also be available for MIDI editing.
- Integrated Wave Editor
PARIS Pro 3.0 offers users a powerful, sample-accurate "destructive" wave
editor for editing raw audio files, including tools like a pencil tool for
re-drawing waveforms. You can also process any portion of the audio file
with PARIS's powerful DSP algorithms or the myriad of VST/DirectX plug-ins
available today.
- Native (CPU based) Tracks
Adhering to the penalty-free expansion platform of PARIS Pro, users now get
the best of both worlds with native submix tracks running in tandem with
Paris's hardware tracks. This hybrid architecture takes advantage of both
Paris's superior proprietary DSP and the speed and power of today's Mac and
PC CPUs truly the best of both hardware-based and CPU-based systems.
The price of the upgrade is $295.
