Software Editor for PCR Keyboards Released

Edirol has released downloadable PCR Editor software for use with their PCR-30 & PCR-50 USB MIDI Keyboard Controllers. The PCR-Editor allows for convenient control of the PCR keyboards from a PC or Mac. The PCR-Editor is designed to assist in creating control maps for the PCR and allow users to quickly & easily make assignments to any of the 27 assignable controls. This software also allows the user to copy system exclusive messages for the PCR into a sequence so the controls can be mapped or changed during a sequence. In addition to offering easy implementation of different MIDI messages, the PCR-Editor also allows the user to specify minimum & maximum values for each control. The PCR-Editor is available as a free download from the Edirol website at www.edirol.com and supports Win98/ME/2000/XP, Mac8.6-9.x & OS X. Features:

Identical in basic functionality, the PCR-30(32-key) and PCR-50(49-key) offer features designed for complete real-time control of audio software and hardware available today. The top panel boasts 8 knobs, 8 sliders, and 9 buttons – all assignable; sustain and expression pedal connections are also provided. Controller assignments can be saved in any one of 15 onboard memory locations for fast recall. The PCR-30 and 50's memory locations come pre-loaded with settings for leading MIDI/Audio Sequencers such as Cubase, Digital Performer, Pro Tools LE, and Sonar- more templates will be available for download from the Edirol website soon. Control of hardware Sound Modules is also supported. The PCR-series assignable controls can be assigned to all MIDI messages including Control Change, SysEx, RPN, NRPN, etc. In addition to offering convenient single-cable connection to PC and Macintosh computers, the PCR-30 and 50 can be powered by USB, and will also serve as a 1-in, 1-out MIDI Interface.
