Peace Introduces Lacquer Finish Marching Drums

October 26, 2006

Peace Musical Company will unveil lacquer finish marching drums at the upcoming Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) in Austin in November. The lacquered varieties—named the Parade series—have maple/mahogany/maple sandwich shells, a combination designed to maximize the critical elements: volume, tone, durability, and cost effectiveness.

Two snare drum models, a compact 13" by 11" and a 14" x 12", and a half-dozen 14" depth bass drum sizes are being offered—from 18" to 28" in diameter—in 2" increments. Available finishes include translucent and solid lacquers as well as fades and bursts. The ability to match school colors will be as easy as picking Pantone® numbers. All Parade series drums come with high-tension lugs capable of delivering a range of precision tuning settings from warm and resonant to tight and focused. Completing the outfits, snare drums come with a pair of sticks, strap, carrying bar, and leg rest. Similarly, a strap and mallets are packaged with bass drums.
