Peace Musical Co. Upgrades Snare Kit

Drum and percussion manufacturer Peace Musical has announced improvements to its best-selling snare kit in advance of band season. The new SD-18 shares many features with its predecessor, the SD-15S - with significant changes. The outfit still ships in the same durable, compact, nylon backpack bag, but the manufacturer has managed to include a 10" splash cymbal and cymbal mounting arm in the package, opening up worlds of musical possibilities.

The new outfit also comes with an Arena 600 Series snare stand, another major improvement. It features an adjustable basket-type stand top that grips the drum, and the stand has greater telescopic range, extending its utility to concert applications as well as with traps.

Like its predecessor, the outfit also includes a 5.5" x 14" 8-lug Chrome snare, 14" sound-off practice pad, drum key, and pair of drum sticks.

Suggested list price is $262.
