DLS/SoundFont Authoring Tool Comes to OS X

BEST Software Design announced PolyPhontics 1.1, a DLS and SoundFont compatible authoring tool for Mac OS. PolyPhontics 1.1 offers new features, including the ability to record and edit samples.

DLS and SoundFont compatible files give users the ability to replace the one-size-fits-all software synthesizers engines of popular MIDI software and sound cards with real life sounds.

PolyPhontics runs natively on Mac OS X and earlier versions of the Mac OS and utilizes QuickTime 5 technologies. PolyPhontics is available for US$59.99. A free demo is also available.
