PowerFX Presents The Dream Machine ReFill

February 12, 2006

PowerFX presents a new Reason ReFill inspired by the string sound of Yamaha's huge GX1 synthesizer — Stevie Wonder's electronic orchestra behind "Village Ghetto Land" from the 70s. The Yamaha GX1 is an extremely rare, huge analogue polyphonic synthesizer. Rumours say only 10 or 12 instruments ever were sold, to bands/artists like Abba, Stevie Wonder (who reportedly had two) and Led Zeppelin. The Reason expert Patrick Fridh had the opportunity to play Abba's old GX1 and used that experience when programming the patches for The Dream Machine ReFill later the same day. PowerFX now sells the ReFill for $30.
