PRESS RELEASE
Rain Computers Certified By TASCAM For Use With GigStudio 3.0
April 17, 2006
Advertisement Rain Recording computer systems have been tested and certified by TASCAM for use with GigaStudio 3.0 software. In addition, all Rain computer systems, including the Element workstation and LiveBook laptop, are now shipping with TASCAM GigaStudio Solo. TASCAM Software Channel Manager Johnny DeLeon stated, "We are very excited about this phase of our relationship with Rain Recording. After road testing Rain computers at many trade shows and in the lab, we are impressed by their stability and performance running GigaStudio. We are therefore pleased to name Rain Recording as a "Giga Certified" DAW provider for our multi-award winning GigaStudio line of products, and recommend Rain systems to our customers." Rain Recording customers will now receive GigaStudio Solo with every new system purchase and get a chance to experience this powerful software at no additional cost. GigaStudio Solo is a stand-alone Windows application that uses hard disk streaming to create extraordinarily realistic sampled instruments while achieving the lowest latency of any sampler. 96 voices of sample playback are supported at up to 24-bit/96kHz resolution. GigaStudio Solo is supported by a vast selection of the finest sound libraries available and comes with 3 GB of sounds, including the acclaimed GigaPiano II acoustic piano. Additionally, the software can record multi-channel samples directly or import WAV files for creating new instruments. VST hosting enables processing of sounds with VST plug-ins from within GigaStudio Solo, and ReWire 2 compatibility allows instruments to appear in other workstation software. GigaStudio Solo also includes GigaPulse SE convolution reverb for incredibly realistic reverb, mic modeling and instrument resonance simulation.
