ReSample is a Windows-only batch WAV file sample rate converter and re-quantiser, supporting all sample rates and bit-depths commonly used in digital audio and multimedia. ReSample is aimed at anyone who manipulates WAV files on the Windows platform (e.g. musicians, project and professional studios, sound designers, sound engineers, researchers, multimedia and website designers, etc.). The software is currently only available by direct purchase from the Sounds Logical webstore. A free demo (30-day expiry) is also available for download. Key features ReSample performs sample rate conversion between 8, 11.025, 16, 22.05, 32, 44.1, 48, 96, and 192 kHz. Supports all bit-depths between 2 and 32 inclusive. Conversion options include a full range of dithering algorithms (including user-defined custom noise-shaping filters), gain change, and normalization. Supports the new Microsoft WAV_FORMAT_EXTENSIBLE format for multichannel WAV files with specification of speaker layout (e.g. "5.1 Surround" etc). "Smart" project manager allows large multi-file batch jobs to be interrupted, then resumed at a later point in time without starting from scratch. ReSample utilises high-order FIR (linear phase) filters to provide anti-aliasing/anti-imaging protection during sample rate conversion. For efficiency, these are implemented in multi-stage polyphase form. The net result is a stopband attenuation of at least 120 dB for all converters.
