PRESS RELEASE
Realsamples Releases "Realsamples Harpsichord" And "Vintage Bass Collection" Sample Libraries
May 22, 2006
Advertisement Realsamples has released two new sample libraries, "Realsamples Harpsichord" and "Vintage Bass Collection." "Realsamples Harpsichord" features a masterbuilt harpsichord. The harpsichord, predecessor of the piano, still has its special place not only within classical music, but also in modern productions. While it is not a dynamic instrument at all, every hit sounds slightly different due to acoustic resonances of the body. Our harpsichord has been recorded with 8 velocity layers of each key, so most of the time, different samples will be played to avoid the static feel of single-layer sampling. The release sounds were sampled with 4 velocity layers. Recorded in 24/96, we used Royer™ SF-12® and R-122® ribbon microphons and Mindprint™ DTC® preamps to achieve a natural and warm sound. Presets for Halion®/Reason®/Kontakt®/VSampler3/EXS24® or GigaStudio® are available to start from scratch. The "Realsamples Harpsichord" is available on DVD or CD for $59.95. The "Vintage Bass Collection" features a classic Fender™ Jazz Bass® which has been recorded with 32 velocity layers of each key to capture its dynamic range. Additionally, slap samples are included with 4 velocity layers of each key. Recorded in 24/96, we used Universal Audio™ 610® preamps to achieve a warm and responsive sound. Presets for Halion®/Reason®/Kontakt®/VSampler3/EXS24® or GigaStudio® are available to start from scratch. The "Vintage Bass Collection" is available on DVD or CD for $59.95.
