Rees Electric Guitars Introduces the Mahogany and Maple R2 Guitar
March 09, 2007
Advertisement The new Rees R2 guitar is now in production in the workshop in Cambridge, England. It extends the product range following further chambered guitar development by Rees Electric Guitars. The R2 is the result of feedback from guitarists who want a fine sounding guitar for frequent use in live gigs, at an affordable price and having a simpler, hard-working construction. The body is made of solid mahogany, with a tone chamber beneath a solid figured maple front plate. The maple front plate is a functional acoustic component which completes the chamber and provides the right amount of tone and resonance to the bridge. Every front plate has unique figuring. They can be curly (as seen) or quilted, or flame or birds-eye maple. The mahogany can be stained any brown or red. The maple neck with pau ferro fret-board is of industry standard removable size with high-end features. A double truss rod is conveniently adjustable from the side of the neck near the body. Schaller locking tuners provide quick and easy string changing. The frets are finished by hand to a very high standard. Together with a Fender LSR roller nut, this provides a smooth and fast low action. Features:
