Reverend Launches The Charger 290 Electric Guitar

November 21, 2006

Reverend has introduced the Charger 290 guitar, one of their new Stage King series.

Winner of Guitar Player Magazine's Editors' Pick Award, the Charger 290 features a solid spruce top (not veneer or plywood) and mahogany body with strategically placed tone chambers for a resonant, light, and lively instrument that responds to the player's touch.

The bridge pickup is slightly hotter than a traditional soapbar, and the neck pickup slightly cleaner for balanced tone and volume. The Charger 290 works well for clean or dirty sounds, and the Bass Contour varies the pickup voicing from country twang to raunchy rock.

Features:

  • Solid spruce top on chambered mahogany
  • Two Reverend P-90 pickups
  • 3-Way pickup switch
  • Wilkinson staggered EZ-Lock tuners
  • Volume, Tone, and Bass Contour (bass roll off) controls
  • 25.5" scale bolt-on maple neck with graphite nut and dual-action truss rod
  • Rosewood fingerboard with 12" radius and 22 frets
  • Retail price: $469

Options:

  • Metallic Gold, Tobacco Sunburst, Metallic Red
  • Les Trem tremolo ($100)
