Announced at the Summer NAMM show, Alesis has announced that its RoadFire 15 Guitar Amplifier is now shipping. With a rugged, modern style cabinet designed to withstand the rigors of the road, the RoadFire 15 features a 15-watt amplifier mated to an 8-inch loudspeaker. For the ultimate in portability, the RoadFire 15 is battery powered–making it suitable for traveling professionals in search of a go anywhere / play anytime solution, particularly in remote locations where AC power is not available. The amp also features Alesis' DSP technology that provides eighty presets, RCA stereo auxiliary inputs, a headphone output, and a built-in chromatic tuner. With the RoadFire's integrated signal processing capabilities, over 80 presets can be edited, stored, and recalled–providing guitarists a wealth of opportunity to create their sound. The built-in effects include distortion, modeling, compression, chorus, flanger, phaser, wah, delay, reverb, and much more. As a practice tool, the RoadFire 15 provides a pair of RCA inputs for connecting an accessory device such as a CD player, MP3 player, or drum machine. In doing so, guitarists have the ability to play along with favorite tracks from their music collection. By patching in something like a drum machine, they have the ability to practice playing to a variety of beats and musical styles while gaining the musical benefit of strict adherence to meter characteristic of a metronome. Another aspect of the RoadFire 15 is its Stereo Link output. This 1/4-inch TRS stereo output facilitates true stereo processing for the amplifier's built-in effects for output to either an external stereo device or for silent practice via a pair of stereo headphones. Ssuggested retail price: $259. For more information, visit their web site at http://www.alesis.com/.Recent Alesis headlines
