eMedia Offeres New Rock Guitar Method

eMedia Music Corp has released their new Rock Guitar Method CD-ROM for both Windows and Mac OS X, specifically geared towards fans of rock, punk, and metal. Rock Guitar Method is designed to make learning to play easy and fun, including more than 100 audio- and video-enhanced lessons. Hosted by radio personality Steve Rock of KISW's Metal Shop, the CD-ROM presents rock songs, chords, riffs, and gear tips without assuming any previous music experience. While learning, students will play songs by Nirvana, Black Sabbath, Green Day, and Van Halen, as well as songs in the style of Blink 182, Sum41 Rage Against the Machine, AC/DC, Hoobastank, and others. Instructor Charles McCrone is a graduate of the Guitar Institute of Technology who studied under Scott Henderson and Howard Roberts. He takes you through a range of essential techniques including power chord, barre chords, hammer-ons, pull-offs, palm muting, the blues scale, movable major and minor scales, and more.
