Rock House Announces Metal Guitar Instructional DVD Series

Advertisement Rock House has announced the release of a new instructional series that will teach users the Guitar techniques used by today's hottest metal bands. The series titled "METALGUITAR: MODERN, SPEED & SHRED" includes a beginner,intermediate and advanced program on DVD. The beginner DVD comes with a 32 page tab booklet and features John McCarthy, the most prolific guitar teacher of this generation. He walks users step-by-step through easy to learn metal power chords, complete classic and modern metal rhythms, his very own speed demon exercises, pentatonic death scales and much more. The Intermediate and Advanced levels feature Marc Rizzo lead guitarist in the Metal band Soulfly, one of the most popular metal bands performing around world today. In the Intermediate DVD that comes with a 28 page booklet Marc helps students get to the next level by teaching the skills needed to play today's type of metal guitar. They Learn scales spanning the entire neck, speed picking, tapping, Marc's personal bending technique and an arsenal of riffs they can play. The Advanced DVD comes with a 32 page tab booklet and has Marc teaching alternate tunings, legato techniques, harmonic minor scales, advanced tapping, trill riffs, sweep arpeggios, syncopated rhythms and the seven modes of the major scale.
