Get in the Groove, Win a Roland VS-1680
August 04, 1999
Advertisement Roland Corporation U.S., URB magazine and Moonshine Music present the Roland Groove Competition - an all-out groove music contest for remixers, producers and DJ's across the country. Entering is easy - all a person needs to do is send in an original track under two minutes that uses Roland's new Groove gear. The person crowned "Groove Master" will pick up a new Roland VS-1680 24-bit Digital Studio Workstation in the process. The winning song will appear on the rolandgroove.com and urb.com Websites, and on an upcoming CD Sampler from URB magazine. Plus, the winner will get the chance to remix a track for one of the world's premiere electronic music labels, Moonshine Music. The Roland Groove Competition is only open to U.S. residents over 18 who use current Roland Groove gear to make their music (MC-303/505, JP-8000/8080, SP-202/808, DR-202, JX-305, DJ-1000/2000). Contest entries will be accepted between Aug. 1, 1999 and Oct. 31, 1999. Absolutely no entries will be accepted after the Oct. 31 deadline. Entries must not exceed two minutes, and can be submitted on CD, DAT or cassette tape only (sorry, no vinyl). Submissions must include a track listing that describes which Roland Groove products were utilized; entries with no track listing will be automatically disqualified. Only one entry per contestant will be accepted. All entries should be sent to: Recent Roland headlines
