January 09, 2003

Schecter Guitar Research has announced their new Diamond Series S-1 Elite model guitar. Replacing their staple S-1 Plus model, the new Elite features an arched Mahogany body with a highly figured maple top, which is outlined in an elegant abalone binding. The Set-In 24 3/4" scale neck is constructed from 3-piece Mahogany with abalone binding and has a rosewood fingerboard with a new 'gothic cross' inlay design. The dual Duncan Design H-102 Humbuckers can be 'tapped' via a push/pull control on the Tone control, yielding a wide variety of tonal options. Sustain, intonation and tuning stability are greatly enhanced by the TonePros tune-matic bridge, which locks to the bridge posts. Schecter's 'thru-body' tail design also adds to the S-1 Elite's sonic resonance. Grover tuning machines are standard. The S-1 Elite will be available in Black Cherry (BCH) with Black Chrome hardware and Antique Amber (ANTQ) with Gold Hardware. The new S-1 Elite and all 2003 Schecter Diamond Series models will be available from Authorized Schecter Dealers in January. MSRP: $899.00. All Schecter instruments are backed by a Limited Lifetime warranty. For more information, visit their web site at http://www.schecterguitars.com/. Recent Schecter headlines
