Nady Audio, Nady Systems' expanding line of audio gear, has introduced two new studio monitors–the SM-120 and the SM250A. The SM-120 passive monitor is a full-range, 2-way studio monitor speaker with 6 1/2" shielded woofers and 1" Ferro fluid-cooled, soft-dome shielded tweeters. It is rated at 120W peak power. The SM250A is an active, full-range, 2-way studio monitor speaker with 6 1/2" shielded woofer, 1" Ferro fluid-cooled, soft-dome shielded tweeter and built-in 100W bi-amped power. This model is bass-reflex loaded with 2" tuned cylindrical port for optimized linear bass response. The cabinets of both models feature a curved front baffle for reduced high frequency diffraction and imaging, not possible with conventional square-edged baffles. The heavy-duty cabinet construction offers increased structural integrity and stiffness for clean, articulate performance even at high SPL levels. Gold-plated binding posts for easy hookup to banana plugs, spade connectors or bare wires (SM-120) provide added convenience and practicality. The SM-120 and SM250A will be available in Spring, 2003.
