SPL Launches Transient Designer Modules For Tonelux VRacks

September 14, 2007

Owners of the Tonelux VRack and the new V8 Rack systems will be presented a further exclusive processing choice: Paul Wolff from Tonelux has appointed SPL from Germany to produce Transient Designer modules in the Tonelux format.

With the launch of the Transient Designer SPL opened a new dimension in dynamic processing by giving access to the time line of a signal's curve—processing is independent from level and treats quiet and loud signals in the same way, which makes it completely different from compression techniques. With just two controls, attack and sustain periods of a signal curve can both be amplified or attenuated. Since its debut, the Transient Designer is fascinating engineers with both its disarming ease of use and an unlimited range of applications for virtually all kinds of sounds and instruments.

The new module will be presented by both companies at the 123rd AES conference in NYC, October 6-8.
