Sonic Studio Announces Cost Reductions On DSD And SACD Production Products
June 15, 2006
Advertisement Sonic Studio today announced across the board cost reductions for their nexStage line of DSD and SACD production products. Technology that, just a few years ago, was simply out of reach for most engineers now allows them to distinguish their work from the rest of the pack. The newly priced nexStage line includes transcoding tools that take advantage of Direct Stream Digital's ability to cleanly convert to any type of LPCM while premastering and authoring packages leverage the strong intellectual property protection of Super Audio CDs with their guaranteed forward and backward compatibility with CD players everywhere. "DSD represents the finest in current digital audio fidelity," said Jayson Tomlin, VP of Sales & Business Development. "It's the closest thing we have to analog tape," he continued. "However, the cost of adding DSD production capabilities has been a major impediment. With savings that range from 38 to 70% off the previous pricing, we've significantly lowered that barrier for folks who want to break out of the mold and try a better way of working." The nexStage line of DSD and SACD production tools are available through an international network of distributors and channel partners who share Sonic Studio's commitment to fidelity and service.
