Seer Goes Direct, Ships New Product

Seer Systems has started shipping a new bundled product for Windows 95/98/Me, the SurReal Super Bundle. Along with the SurReal software synthesizer and the SeerMusic streaming MIDI player, the bundle includes:

Cdxtract, which allows conversion of CD sampler libraries from three popular sampler formats (Akai, Roland, and SampleCell/PC) for import into SurReal.
WavMaker, which turns MIDI files into WAV files. Seer WavMaker includes Seer reMixer+ so you can remix a General MIDI file, save your mix, and render your remixed MIDI files into WAV or MP3.
There are 9 Steinway B and C piano banksets from WSTCo, the largest weighing in at 109 Mbytes – great sounding long stereo samples with added pedal resonance.
Finally, six Technoshpere banksets from SonicXTC contain 55MB of material - over 500 sounds - ready for use in Drum 'n' Bass, Rave, Techno, House, Industrial, etc.

Seer Reorganizes Sales Network

Seer has just completed a brand new website to support its new direct sales campaign. According to CEO (and synth designer) Dave Smith, "After analyzing the current state of the market, we realized it made no sense to continue selling through retail outlets. Our products require a computer, therefore our potential customers are already wired to the Internet. From our website they can download free demos of our products, which is the ultimate test before making a purchase decision. Then, they can easily and quickly buy directly from our secure website without leaving the house. Best of all, we were able to substantially reduce the price of our products by simply eliminating the middlemen. Our goal is to get quality musical instruments into the hands of musicians at the lowest price possible."

Seer’s products include Reality for $199.95, SurReal for $69.95 (download version $59.95), and a new SurReal Bundle package for $129.95. Seer is also giving away a free synth player from its website.
