Tube-Tech CL 1B Plug-In For PowerCore Now Shipping

Advertisement Emulation is being redefined as Tube-Tech and TC Electronic announce the shipping of the Tube-Tech CL 1B plug-in for PowerCore. The CL 1B plug-in is based upon highly advanced component emulation technology, and brings the sound of the legendary CL 1B compressor/limiter to the PowerCore platform. A demo version for PowerCore users is available from the TC Electronic website. The CL 1B plug-in has up to 30 dB of gain and a variable step-less ratio ranging from 2:1 to 10:1. It features innovative attack/release controls, with three different settings, enabling the CL 1B to be used as an insert- or bus-compressor. The Sidechain/Link button in the stereo instance of the CL 1B plug-in recreates the dynamic master/slave relationship between the left and right channels, a feature usually found when having two mono units interconnected via the Sidechain Bus found on the hardware version of CL 1B. An ability unique to the CL 1B plug-in is the advanced metering, capable of displaying the left channel, the right channel or both channels. The CL 1B uses a carefully crafted algorithm, so efficient it allows the use of up to 2 instances in stereo at 44.1kHz or 1 instance in stereo at 96kHz per DSP chip on 2nd generation PowerCore hardware (Compact, FireWire, Express, PCI mkII, and Unplugged).
