Taylor Guitars Posts New Factory Video

Advertisement Taylor Guitars has posted the tenth video in their Factory Fridays online series, the next best thing to actually being at the Taylor Guitars factory and smelling the wood chips. New installments are posted on the first Friday of each month, with Bob Taylor and Production Manager Chris Wellons trading off hosting duties, giving you an inside look at the blend of technology and old world-style artisanship that goes into building each Taylor guitar.
Titled "Killer Koa", Part 2, December's Factory Fridays takes you to the milling department as Hawaiian koa boards are cut into bookmatched sets and planed along one side to bring out the glorious figure in this batch of the treasured tonewood. Milling Supervisor Chris Cosgrove shows you how it is done. The total running time is just over 10 minutes, and the video is available in both Windows Media and QuickTime formats.
