The DQC Releases The Lunchbox Distortion Pedal
September 09, 2008
Advertisement Boasting a die-cast case, new ergonomic layout and a clutter-busting, environmentally friendly rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery, this is the ultimate distortion pedal for those looking for something new. The DQC began in Perth, Western Australia with two friends trying to build something to fill the gap they found within the range of sounds available on the market. After a year of honing and refining the product, they felt it was time to share it with the rest of Australia, this is the the LunchBox The LunchBox is now available exclusively to Australian shoppers at the DQC website at an affordable $269, and there are plans to release to music retailers in time for Christmas this year. This means that Austrailan guitarists will be the first in the world to hear this completely new sound. The pedal also has a few unique aspects, such as a USB port for charging a battery, which promises up to 3 weeks of continuous operation on a single charge — eliminating the need for yet another cable in a musician's stage rig — and the ergonomic layout of input and output jacks. The control knobs, including Volume, Gain, Distortion and Presence controls, are also tucked away on the front edge of the die-cast box, out of the way, meaning the player can treat it as roughly as they want. Don't Skip Lunch.
