Joemeek Announces Dual Channel Pre/Compressor
April 11, 2001

Ever since the early days of JOEMEEK and the original 'voice channel,' customers have asked them for a dual channel tracking module. The voice channel was their first ever, complete tracking channel module. While the idea of a dual isbasically a good one, the problem has been one of producing a 'side chainable' optical JOEMEEK compressor; i.e. one that can operate as two distinct channels and also as a stereo unit. Customers were not going to be happy with a dual unit that could not be linked. JOEMEEK designer, Ted Fletcher, has now solved this problem. JOEMEEK now releases their first true dual mono/stereo tracking product. The TwinQ is the best technology that JOEMEEK offers, with the new 'CurrentSense' mic pre amplifier, classic optical compressor and 'Meequalizer' EQ, the TwinQ provides sonic excellence with a distinctly pleasing, and British sound. The TwinQ is highly adaptable, sporting fully floating professional inputs and outputs, instrument inputs as standard, and 24-bit digital output upgradability with JOEMEEKs already released VC1QD digital option card. The TwinQ is targeted for anyone tracking in a digital studio, or making live sounds in a professional stage setup. One of the great strengths of the TwinQ is the CurrentSense mic pre which ensures impedance match under all situations, and open circuit shutoff protection, meaning silent running if nothing is connected - a by-product of Current Mode operation... not a gate in sight.
