Westgate Studios Announces Timpani Module Sample Library

Westgate Studios is proud to announce the release of our first Multi-Format library, The Timpani Module. This library features 24 bit samples for Gigastudio 3.1 and Kontakt 2.1 on the same disc On this DVD you will find a comprehensive set of patches for Timpani using soft, medium and hard mallets.

At the heart of this library are the Single Hits patches which include Left and Right hand samples in 8 velocity layers, that's 16 samples per note. These instruments have been programmed so that the length of the release trail can be controlled by the mod wheel. Additionally you'll find long sampled rolls in both looped and unlooped variations with specially edited release samples that allow you to end the roll at any time. And of course the long roll samples wouldn't be complete without the inclusion of mod wheel controlled crossfades. You'll find three variations with 5, 3 and 2 dynamic layers to fit your polyphony demands. There are also fixed length crescendos and diminuendos in 2, 4 and 8 second options.

As with the other Modular Series products, Westgate Studios has included effect samples such as Single Hit Glissandos, Glissando Rolls and Rolls with a suspended cymbal on the drum.

With a retail price of $110 (US), the Timpani Module is available on DVD for Gigastudio 3.1 and Kontakt 2.1. The samples included are 24bit\44.1k\stereo recordings. The downloadable version of the timpani includes all of these articulations using the medium mallet for $70 (US).
