Fostex X-14 Now Available in Colors

Fostex recently unveiled new color options for its X-14 fourtrack cassette multitracker. Referred to as a "musical sketch pad", the X-14 is now available in transparent red and blue. "It's no secret that the X-14 has been a huge success," says Phil Celia, director of sales for Fostex. "At a list price of under $200, there is nothing else on the market that offers true multitrack recording capability. Based on the reaction we received at the NAMM Show from one of the industry's largest retail chains, we believe the hot new colors will be a real hit." The X-14 combines a four-track cassette recorder with a four-channel mixer. Simple to operate right out of the box, the unit features a built-in condenser microphone, mic/line inputs and headphone/line outputs. The X-14 provides mixdown capabilities to a stereo master and allows the mixing of individual track levels as well placement within the stereo image.
