USB Releases X-treme FX for Mac and PC

Ultimate Sound Bank announced the worldwide release of X-treme FX, a virtual instrument plug-in for Mac OS X (VST/AU/RTAS) and Windows (VST/RTAS/DXi) dedicated to sound effects, foleys and atmospheric sounds.

X-treme FX puts 5000 creative sound effects at your fingertips: the soundset occupies over 8 gigabytes of disc space.

Included categories are: Atmospheres, Scenes, Unreal, Science-Fiction, Sub & Drones, Natural, Urban, Foleys and Musical. Scenes are provided: one preset loads up an ensemble of related sounds, perfect for live mixing or creating a virtual soundscape. Throughout the library you'll find sounds that are off the beaten track, original and expressive.

• Preset management allowing you to reorganize the presets directly on your hard drive.
• Preset selection: enter the preset number for direct access
• Next/previous program selection arrows
• All 4 LFOs sync to your sequencer's tempo
• Every LFO features a waveform selection menu (7 waveforms included)
• Multimode filter with a new overdrive section
• The overdrive is included in the augmented list of modulation destinations
• Effects section that can be synced to the sequencer's tempo
• Powerful dual layer architecture
• Full MIDI implementation
• Comprehensive multi-effect section with 29 algorithms
• Zone-Edit allows powerful edition of individual keygroups (Multimode filter, envelopes, timbre, etc... can be edited individually)
• Audition Presets: next to the preset selection menu, a small speaker icon can be clicked to audition the preset, tuning is user selectable
• New presets to be released every month on the company's website, free to all registered users
• Includes a large selection of sound FX and textures from the Hollywood Edge libraries

X-treme FX ships with a hard copy manual in English and a leaflet with all preset names. German, French, Italian, Spanish and Japanese languages are available in pdf format

X-treme FX is available now for Windows and Mac OS X users, with a suggested retail price of $399/399 Euro.
