Fusion High-Resolution Audio Recorder/Mixer
Zaxcom will launch its new Fusion high-resolution audio mixer and recorder at the 2008 NAB Show. This system is optimized for use in reality television, surround recording, and ENG applications. It replaces the multiple mixers and portable recorders that normally would be required to support mixing and recording of audio to camera via RF link or hardwired cable. Fusion can mix together 16 inputs to eight output busses for recording up to eight tracks. Fusion achieves low weight and superior power efficiency by eliminating the use of a hard drive, which additionally removes concerns of hard drive damage from extreme temperatures or motion. The system records to two CompactFlash® cards simultaneously, ensuring 100% solid state recording that provides both redundancy and flexibility. With the Fusion's DSP-based audio tools, users can adjust over 300 mixer cross points and 200 controllable parameters. Four balanced AES inputs with sample rate conversion allow eight channels of audio to come from four different devices with varying sample rates or unlocked sample rate clocks. Fusion also provides an effects package that is unrivaled in portable audio systems.
TRX Family of Digital Wireless Microphone Transceivers
Zaxcom will demonstrate its full line of wireless systems, including the popular TRX900, TRX990, TRX900AA digital wireless microphone transceivers, and the TRX800 handheld wireless recording system. These systems are optimized for use in ENG and other broadcast applications; reality television productions; concert, presentation, and theater settings; and in any other audio production that requires mobility, premium sound quality, and superior performance. With the optional internal recording feature, these wireless audio microphone systems can also ensure redundancy in case of audio drop-outs. A wide feature set is available, including support for transmission of IFB audio, time code, and remote control signals.
