Opcode Systems announced today that they are the worldwide distributor for the Zefiro InBox AD20, a handheld, portable 20-bit analog to digital converter. Because it is battery powered, the Zefiro InBox is a key component of a portable digital recording system. When combined with one of Opcode's own USB audio interfaces and a laptop computer, the Zefiro InBox integrates to form a powerful, portable digital studio. Zefiro Acoustics, a California-based audio design company, are the creators of the Zefiro InBox AD20. "We're pleased to offer this professional-quality audio hardware, especially since it fits in with our concept of the portable digital recording studio," states Randy Wilson, Opcode's Hardware Product Manager. "Compare the specs with most available portable A-to-D units and it's a winner." The Zefiro InBox is the perfect addition to a DAT deck, digital I/O card or USB audio interface. This handheld portable 20-bit analog to digital converter has a built in low noise microphone pre-amplifier. It has a balanced XLR stereo input pair and digital outputs: TOSlink optical S/PDIF and coaxial S/PDIF on a 1/8th inch mini jack. An 1/8th inch mini to RCA female cable is included to connect to standard S/PDIF. The InBox will run for over 8 hours on a single alkaline 9volt battery or the box may be powered by an optional external 9volt power supply. The Zefiro InBox is available at a US suggested retail price of $495. Key Features of Zefiro InBox AD20
