Crate DXJFX Foot Controller for DX Amps

July 10, 2000

Crate Amplifiers has finished production on a new foot controller which will expand the functionality of the DX Digital Series amps. Receiving power directly from the amp, the DXJFC operates using a standard 5-pin MIDI cable and specially designed internal chip. The DXJFC lets users toggle between 10 presets (using two banks of five) as well as adjust effect parameters. Similar to the DXFC, the DXJFC will allow users to add an expression pedal, letting them adjust effects like gain, level, effect adjust, reverb level, reverb depth, and tap speed, while playing. The expression pedal can also be used as a wah pedal when used in conjunction with the DX touch-wah setting.

Crate Product Manager Pat Stevenson commented, "The DXJFC has been designed for DX users who enjoy the professional features of the DXFC, but don't need 128-preset banks on a regular basis. The DXJFC gives users the extensive functionality of the DXFC, at an affordable price."

The DXJFC will be on display at the Nashville Summer NAMM 2000 show in the St. Louis Music booth, and will list for $139.99.
