Wendler Announces electroCoustic Tube Amp

June 15, 2005

electroCoustic amp

Wendler Instruments introduces the all tube "electroCoustic" amplifier. Based on the most simple Class AB circuit, this combo amp will bring a touch sensitive, dynamic, hifi tone to your acoustic electric or jazz guitar.

Basic specs include a 12AX7 preamp tube, 12AT7 phase splitter, and EL34 output tubes. A single knob tone control allows a wide range, from jazz to sparkly acoustic flattop. The speaker is a special 12" from Eminence, featuring a dual cone for extended high frequencies without the harsh tonality so often associated with horn tweeters. In addition, this loudspeaker is designed for flat frequency response. The cabinet is solid pine finger jointed construction, with void free plywood baffle and back panels.

All of the common tolex and grille colors are available, with old style tweed being the standard covering. Weight is 32 lbs, quite light for a 40 watt all tube, handwired circuit.

Priced at $1299 with the basic tweed/brown covering.
