PRESS RELEASE
miniMusic Updates BugBand To Version 1.2 And Offers Free Preview Of AxisPad
October 31, 2006
Advertisement miniMusic BugBand helps you learn to read music with all sorts of bugs and worms and other critters. The new AxisPad turns the touch sensitive screen of your Palm phone or handheld computer into a musical instrument much like a Theremin, the instrument used to create eerie music for many famous films. BugBand is a musical game that helps you have fun while practicing your music reading. You can now use an on-screen piano, guitar (right or left handed), violin, trumpet, tuba or trombone. A practice level is included for the complete beginner with ten levels of difficulty to suit any experience level. The new version includes the Krikit software synthesizer for rich audio and offers a new "boring mode" that displays standard music notation instead of the colorful bugs. AxisPad produces sounds reminiscent of a theremin as heard in such films as The Day The Earth Stood Still, The Thing (From Another World), Ed Wood, Mars Attacks!, and Forbidden Planet. But AxisPad can do so much more. The full application will let you save multiple configurations, set custom colored guides, and on some handheld models AxisPad will send control changes to MIDI hardware like samplers, synthesizers and tone modules. Pricing, Availability, Distribution, and Support Free demos of all miniMusic software titles are currently available for download from the miniMusic website. The free AxisPad preview can also be found at the miniMusic website and the full version will be available in November for $19.95.
