PRESS RELEASE
smallsound/bigsound presents the team_awesome fuzzmachine!
November 06, 2008
Advertisement smallsound/bigsound, a new effects company based out of Brooklyn, NY, presents the team_awesome fuzzmachine! (TAFM!), a full-range, bass-booming germanium fuzz pedal with a clean blend and PLENTY of gain available. (MSRP $185) The TAFM! is the perfect fuzz for bass players searching for a huge wall of sound while keeping their low end intact, guitarists seeking a saturated fuzz and gnarly feedback or keyboardists looking to expand their sonic horizons to freaked-out fuzz mayhem. The signal is split into both a clean channel and fuzz channel, each with independent control over volume. The fuzz channel uses reversed germanium transistors to get a saturated sound with unique harmonic structure. Reverse-biased germanium diodes are placed in the circuit to provide temperature stability, a problem often found in other germanium circuits. Internal trim pots allow users more control over bias, feedback and maximum volume capable of destroying speakers at the extreme end! Controls also include filter shape and fuzz intensity. Each smallsound/bigsound pedal is handmade in Brooklyn, NY, using quality components and true bypass.
